I’m an accredited member or the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I work in accordance with their ethical guidelines and professional standards for practice.
I’m trained in several therapeutic approaches, including Person Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy.
I’ve been a qualified counsellor for more than 22 years, working for several national children’s agencies, community and mental health organisations, schools and voluntary sector agencies. I work in partnership with clients to deliver therapy in creative, flexible ways that take into account all the various aspects of, and influences on, a person’s life.
I’m happy to work with a wide range of client experiences including – but not limited to – abuse, anxiety, bereavement, bullying, low mood and depression, post-termination issues, stress, panic attacks, self-harming behaviour, sexuality, identity and problems associated with loss or change.
